Earlier today, Conor McGregor, 30, was arrested outside of a Miami hotel for allegedly slapping a fans phone out of his hand and stomping on it.
Allegedly a fan by the name of Ahmed Abdirzak was trying to take a picture of the Irish star, when McGregor allegedly slapped the phone out of his hand, stomped on it, and walked away with it.
McGregor is now facing 2 felony charges. One charge for strong-armed robbery and on for criminal mischief. He is being held in the County Jail in Miami, Florida.
This guy just can’t stay out of trouble. He just recently completed his community service for the incident in Brooklyn where he showed up with a gang of people to confront Khabib Nurmagomedov, and threw a dolly through a bus window that caused injuries to Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg which forced them out of their scheduled bouts.
Every time something like this happens, you have to wonder what effect this will have on his chances of fighting in the octagon again. He is still serving a 6 month suspension for the Brooklyn incident this past October.
Maybe we don’t see him fight anymore, maybe this is where his antics outside of the octagon prevent him from ever competing again. He has made at least 80 million from the fight with Floyd Mayweather, and is making ridiculous amounts of money with his Proper 12 whiskey, I just think he is too rich to care about fighting anymore and is doing whatever he wants to do. But we have all seen this story before with Mike Tyson, and Jon Jones. Great athletes ruining there careers because they can’t keep their life outside of competition in check. I will give an update when more information becomes available.
